SMS consent flow

TurnoverPilot sends operational SMS messages for short-term rental turnover coordination. Hosts add cleaners they already work with, confirm consent, and use SMS to send cleaning reminders, collect DONE replies, and receive missed-confirmation alerts.

Who opts in

The SMS recipient is the cleaner or cleaning contact for a property. The cleaner opts in themselves by replying YES to the one-time confirmation text described below — consent is captured directly from the recipient, not on their behalf.

How opt-in works (double opt-in)

When a host adds a cleaner, TurnoverPilot immediately sends that cleaner a single one-time confirmation text. The cleaner must reply YES to that message before any automated turnover messages are ever sent to them. Until the cleaner replies YES, their status stays “pending” and TurnoverPilot sends them nothing further.

The one-time confirmation text reads:

TurnoverPilot: A host added you for cleaning turnover texts (turnover reminders, missed-confirmation alerts). Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply YES to confirm, STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

When the host adds the cleaner, the host also confirms they have the cleaner's permission to add their number and that the cleaner is expecting this confirmation text. The host is shown that message frequency varies by booking activity, message and data rates may apply, and the cleaner can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Message content

Cleaner messages identify TurnoverPilot or the host's property context, include turnover details, and instruct the cleaner to reply DONE when finished. Operational reminders include HELP and STOP instructions.

Opt-out and help

Cleaners can reply STOP at any time to opt out of TurnoverPilot turnover SMS messages, and HELP for help. Opted-out cleaners are immediately blocked from all further TurnoverPilot SMS dispatches. They can opt back in themselves at any time by replying START.

Data sharing

Mobile opt-in information and phone numbers collected for TurnoverPilot SMS messages are not shared, sold, rented, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Consent screenshots

The host opt-in happens inside the logged-in TurnoverPilot dashboard. These screenshots show the full consent experience so it can be verified without an account.

Cleaner opt-in is keyword-based: the cleaner receives the one-time confirmation text quoted above and replies YES. No automated messages are sent until they do.
